Liturgical Ministry Descriptions
Ministries during COVID -19
Art and Environment - Assist in planning and implementing church environment for liturgical seasons.
ASL Interpreter – Use sign-language to interpret the Mass for the deaf.
Audio/Visual Operator – Operate sound and projection screens during weekend liturgies.
Camera Operator - Operate the camera through the new AV system.
Extraordinary Minister - Minister Communion at daily or weekend Masses.
Lector – Proclaim the Word of God during liturgies.
Linen Care - Wash and iron altar linens and towels
Sacristan - Help prepare and set up vessels for communion before and after a liturgy.
Sanctuary Care – Dust the sanctuary, replace vigil candles, keep church looking nice.
Seamstress - Keep chasubles, albs, altar cloths, etc. in good repair.
Ushers – Provide dignified order to the liturgy by welcoming people and taking up the collection, and directing people to communion.
Homebound Eucharistic Minister -Bring Communion to homebound or Nursing Home residents.
Greeter – Extend a welcome to those attending weekend liturgies.

Altar Server – 4th graders and older, as well as adults who assist the priest at the altar.
Children's Liturgy of the Word: Lead children in prayer and activities during the Liturgy of the Word.
